Untitled by Tatiana Trouvé
Tatiana Trouvé’s work spans drawing, painting and sculpture, often brought together in precisely-scaled architectural installations which suggest the possibility of underlying narratives.
Tatiana Trouvé’s two dimensional works appear like classical-perspectival architectural sketches, but upon more precise scrutiny they veer from their perspectival vanishing lines, rendering their inner architecture nebulous. In her work she persistently attempts to visualise, from the “unconscious”, conditions that are constantly affected by uncertainty. Her drawings are reduced-size spaces and enigmatic because they are composed of elements referring to heterogeneous universes: their changes in scale are systematically accompanied by the redefinition of a logic of space bearing all the marks of a dreamlike experience.
